Missing Icons in Unit Info Box

The icons which should appear in the lower left of the unit info boxes (the ones that show if the unit is capable of digging in, can do double-time, has flamethrowers, etc) don't appear in any of the three games.
I uninstalled the game and reinstalled version 1.01 and they were displaying fine. Then I applied the 2.02 update and they disappeared again.
It seems that some graphics files have been overwritten and now causes this problem, and I am wondering if there is any fix available.

This was changed in JTCS 2.0*. Unit capability icons no longer show in the unit info box; now only unit state icons do. (Note: The company HQ icon also shows.)

Why? As explained in Coder Diary #7:

[*]There are many unit capabilities that are not (never were) assigned icons, that do not (never did) display in the unit InfoBox. Since we can't display all unit capabilities/special attributes via InfoBox icons, for consistency's sake it was decided not to show any at all. Now, in order to see any unit's special attributes, you refer to the (F2) Unit HandBook.
[*]The left-hand column space for displaying unit icons is limited. For some units, in unusual combinations, icons were pushed down off the bottom of the display area, would become hidden from view. By only showing unit states and not capabilities, this should never happen. There should always be enough space to show all unit state icons.

There is nothing wrong with your installation. By your description, it seems that everything is the new WAD.

Thanks for the explanation, and for the link to the Coder Diary, which was fascinating! Looks like I'll be hitting F2 more often now!
All the changes described make total sense and I agree that their totality might amount to something.
