Another Successful Misssion

Had a good operation with my understrength battalion and two full strength companies from the reserve force came in handy. The objective was another exit battle but the problem was a series of ridges with an open front that flanked the objective. Fortunately I had good observation posts and was able to choose routes for the most part which were hidden.

I took the ridge with a company of landsers from the reserve regiment and they managed to hold onto the ridge despite having the you know what shelled out of them on each turn. The Poles launched a counter attack at the end, but by this time I had moved all my artillery forward and had enough to stem the tide with the second full strength company arriving in the nick of time to allow me to simultaneously push off the map with large portions of my other support units although most of my own battalions battered platoons were performing a screen line through which the units could pass.

Artillery came in handy and I chose to mass at at the exit point but still had enough to support the ridge line.

All in all a good operation. I did lose my foot HQ and will have to replace them to some form of strength to make sure that supply and signal are with my forward units. Win the outstanding performance but it is not transforming into adequate reinforcements from my infantry battalion. Very few of the platoons have more than 2 squads and probably half are a single squad. I have to be content with my battalion really mostly performing screening operations and using other units for a main advance.
