Same graphics as Battlefront?

Kharkov: Disaster on the Donets is the latest strategy title from the award-winning team at Strategic Studies Group. A synthesis of the very best elements of two critically acclaimed and top-rated game systems, Decisive Battles and Battlefront, and a successor to both, the new Kharkov: Disaster on the Donets brings to life a campaign of epic scale and dynamic battles on the Eastern Front of World War II.

Pretty much, the counter art is worse IMHO. I wasn't going to buy it but i read somewhere that the movement was "streamlined"...we'll see. An empty purchase with an unbelievable one scenario...one...nothing else but a tutorial. I was aware of this but i just can't believe my eyes[X(], the US economy and SSG are closely linked LOL.

Hm, I actually like the map and counter art in Kharkov a bit better, but it's certainly a subjective thing. If you look through the screenshots you should get a good idea of whether it appeals to you though, Larry.

HellPatrol, thanks for your support. Give it a chance, Korsun Pocket and Battles in Normandy were also essentially "one scenario" with variants. Those variants are not explicitly separated here, but modeled through the area of operations variants, which can add significant playability. The 2nd Battle of Kharkov is also probably one of the best and yet least explored for allowing both sides to attack and defend.

[:)]The map is gorgeous as always, perhaps better, i just loved the more colorful DB counters such as in BiN[8D].
I just finished the manual and i LOVE the changes made to the system, or combination of systems. It was the most exciting read i've had in a while and i look forward to playing the game. Okay, one scenario, but after reading from front to back and re-reading the designers note i am very pleasantly suprised. I couldn't have done it better[;)] although i'll miss those cute little supply trucks[:(]...they were so fun to capture[:D].

Don't forget to also read the brief Manual Addendum for some last minute additions that didn't make it into the manual itself. I'm glad to hear you like what you see so far. I think SSG did a great job with this one, but I look forward to reading the first impressions to see if you all agree.
