VP display question - F9 hotkey

I am having a hard time determining exactly what the F9 VP hotkey is telling me. Can someone please explain exactly what the two numbers mean, and the difference between the yellow and blue numbers and hexes? Perhaps an in-game example would help me really grok it.

I hope the picture shows up. First time I've tried to insert a picture and I'm just guessing. I realize it's a shot from Battlefront, but the VP displays are the same in Kharkov, which I also own.

The F9 hot key is telling you how many VP each side gets for controlling the location shown. The gold number in your game is Allied VP the blue number represents German VP. For instance the hex to the NE of Mook gives the Allies 85VP if they hold that hex the remainder of the game; the Germans get 350 if they control that hex the remainder of the game.
Also since the hex is blue it is under German control at this time while the gold hexes are under Allied control.

That does help. Thank you. So the one hex with 275/- is currently under Allied control. However they get no VPs for controlling it. The Allies job is to keep the Germans from controlling it and grabbing 275 VPs. Correct?
