This has been created especially for TOAW, it doesn't not only lay a hexgrid on a map, but also is an alternate scenario editor. A help file is included.

Website says program was created for TOAW III. Will it also work with COW, or is there another version please?

The hexgrid overlay part of the programme doesn't import or export anything from TOAW. So you could use it to build maps for any hex-based game. The other aspects may be incompatible. Previous version exist for COW but I'm not sure if they're available online.

Useful a tool though it is, ODD is not emphatically not an alternative scenario editor. You can use it to support your work in the TOAW scenario editor, but you can't build an entire scenario using ODD.

OK - I can't seem to get the help file working for ODD. I've imported my map, overlaid the hex grid, and exported it as a bmp. Is that all I can do with the program, map-wise? I can't paint terrain and import it into TOAW itself? It's just a reference map, so I still manually create a map in TOAW?

Yep, 'fraid so.

I'm not complaining... it's definitely better than the system I've been using. I was just wondering if there were any other nifty things I was missing.

Now if only i can find high-res, high-detail maps of Central America.

They're out there...somewhere. Internet map resources are extensive -- if not particularly well organized. I keep managing to find what I need. Have faith.
