zoom?

Post by gwgardner »

In another thread I saw a comment that there is no real zoom feature. Does that mean there is no way to get a 'bigger picture' of the battleground?

Eric mentioned some kind of zoom' based upon tilting (like Europa Universalis?). Could someone post screenshots of the normal view, and the 'zoomed out' tilted view?

I can't see buying a game that just shows a narrow view of the battlefield all the time. I was going to dive in and buy the game, but that one thing throws me, however insignificant it may seem to others.

There are a mini map-jump map. Please read the article at the Wargamer it gives alot of good information.

I do think this can be a fun game. If I see people bite I maybe will buy it myself for playing PBEM.

I think I'll be laying out the do tonight.

As for zoom out "for the bigger picture"? With the scales we are talking about here (sounds to me like there aren't a great number of units on hand at any one time) I'd reckon there isn't a big need to zoom out too much. From what I gather, there is a zoom in and out but more in the way of a "tilt"...I presume this means the same as what I've seen in other games...as you tilt down, the camera zooms in and as you tilt up, it zooms out.

You can zoom by twiddling your mouse wheel or hitting F1, F2 and F3
