T-34's go into battle during the fighting at Kursk.

There were often small patches of trees in the steppes. Here the T-34's try to take advantage of just such a small grouping.

Good Hunting.

An elite Soviet crew is a rare thing. Here is an elite T-34 looking at it up close and personal from the business end. This tank and crew are a part of the ongoing Elephant Hunt Interactive AAR.

StuG IVs field test. I designed a 1944 scenario where they support a village's defence attacked by soviet armor and infantry. Here the lead tank checks the situation while they are approaching the first line.

jMASS, wouldn't it be possible to give the StuG III some Schürzen too? I love your StuG IV, easily one of the best vehicles of the whole game now.

Jacko, I started to work on a new StuG III G (the upper structure is the same of the StuG IV) but I suspended it for now because of other priorities (for Ostfront, not other games, however!).

Pity, JMass, but the good news is that it will come sooner or later. I'm convinced you have the skills to single handedly make this game, as far as the vehicles are concerned, into one of the best looking serious wargames on the market. If I were Matrix I would very carefully put you into a box and lock you up in a safe place somewhere. [:)]

Thanks for your appreciations but it is all the team that works on Ostfront that makes it a great wargame. [:)] I would also to improve all the Pz IIIs with some new StuG III's polys.

I do realize that, but I mean the vehicle part. You are absolutely right that there's a splendid team behind this wargame.

Not a hard morning yet --

The morning of the 20th as Abt 503 form up and move out of Mezotur. The traffic can be heavy sometimes for such a small village!

The corn is getting high here. I'm still on the east side of the ridge, with the Soviets right behind. I'll need to set up a defensive line along the crest the hill ahead.

I grew that corn myself! (probably not quite up to some of the better artists around here though but it isn't too bad). I've attached a zipfile if you want to play around with it.

Artur has been begging for corn for so long that I thought someone made it for him. Looks pretty good to me.
