RE: How do you command infantry to "Hide"?

Let me start by saying that I'm an old CMBO/CMBB player and I realize that PCO ain't CM, but I still need to cross reference command equivalents. The CM command "Hide" was really important to allow infantry to have a reasonable chance of success in a rocket/grenade attack on armor by being able to "close the range" before making an attempt. I can't seem to figure out what CM's "Hide" equivalent is in PCO. In other words, how do I get my infantry to hunker down (without being detected) and wait for the best kill opportunity?

both the Defend --> Stay and the Engage --> Hold will have the units assume best defensive posture in their current location.

Also you can use the Hold Fire sub order to make sure they don't open fire too soon.

thanks

The equivalent to "Hide" is "Defend" ->"Hold Fire" ->"Good Shot" or "Close Assault" or "All Fire" (what is better regarding the situation).

Thanks Rick and JMass. I tried your suggestions and have yet to succeed in really "hiding" my troops very well. I guess it's a CM command that really does not have an exact equivalent in PCO. For instance, in CM when using a "Hide" command the infantry instantly goes prone (really hiding), nothing like that in PCO. Oh well... [:(]
You really need something to hide in. Like woods, brush, buildings or fortifications. Or get behind a small ridge. Then you set you units to Defend>Hold>Close Assault.
Which allows the units to spot as standing or kneeling height. If units were actually to go to ground to hide then they would have to spot from the ground level like pinned or suppressed units. Which do not spot well at all.

You would have to rely on your God's eye view to get them to unhide at the right time to ambush which would be a bit gamey.
