An interesting feature of this heavy AFV is that the suspension is external.  It's actually behind the roadwheels.  I suppose Dr. P wanted all the interior space for generators and electric motors.

So, mobius, are you planning an update for this AFV for the final rev.?

I came across one anectdote that said the sprockets had to be rotated/changed every 300 miles or so.  Given the low MPG, excessive weight, unique spare parts, need for heavy halftracks to tow, etc., its just a logistics nightmare.

Yep, been testing it in Ferdinand's Fury. Hopefully, it will make it in the final.

The German Wa Prüf 6 F wa drawing are in error on this and seems the slope of the lower front was wrong as well.

What this means is that while there are some areas of the lower side and a tiny section of the rear went down, the lower front armor actually went up. Where the Wa Prüf says the armor is at 30 degrees Jentz puts it at 45 degrees.

Does that mean that you will be making changes to the armor ratings on the Ferdinand/Elephant?

Magic 8-Ball also says that the Germans fired off something like 3 times the tonnage of artillery rounds the Soviets did during this battle.  I think that the scenario might be expanded and two players can play it 'blind'.  I volunteer for one side.  Perhaps MR should step aside and let the young guns shoot awhile.

And I can not imagine any scenario that occurs during this battle that did not feature some artillery and mortar exchange.

I don't recall any of MR's scenarios that have artillery in them.

They way PCO does artillery is not something that fits well with most of my battles but I do have some.

This scenario was created from a supposed Soviet AAR which did not mention artillery as being a factor. What was a factor was T-34's hunting and killing Ferdinands. That's what I created. Anyone can create a scenario to create whatever combat situation they prefer to see.

No problem with MR stepping aside. You guys do this however you like.

Good Hunting.

Maybe JMass will take one side.   Nutter can do the other.

Hopefully the next update to the game will be available.  I completely scrogged my install trying the last beta.
