HD Textures

Just wondering if there's a Hi res texture mod anywhere love the game but don't understand why they didn't include HD texture option for people with powerful PC's.The textures are terrible even at the so called ultra setting.Also is there a config file i can tweak so i can alter the draw distance as it is the grass and some other stuff only draws when i fully zoomed in,the ground textures are really low res too.Also why is there no Ambient sound when your in the tactical phase before you click the end turn button,it sounds wrong total silence then noise when your go is playing then silence,some background gunfire etc or music would be better than nothing.

Sorry to sound like a rant i really do love the game,just seems some odd things have been left out,i understand you want the game to run on low spec's as well but please give a Hi res option for those that can run it .

Think time constraints here. We didn't have all the time or resources we would have liked. While high end graphics would be great by far the larger percentage of users will have medium to low end machines. Those graphics were the ones we spent time on creating.

At some point we had to release the game so you guys could tell us all the things we got wrong.

There will never be enough time to do all the things and make all the improvements that just I want. Me alone. I have a list the size of Dallas. But if you all wait for that what value is that? We had to release sometime.

If you want things changed in the game then post those changes to the Wish List thread. That way they'll get noticed for sure.

Then again someone can make hires textures and make a map with them and try them out.
