Campaign patches
having bought all the new Mega campaigns and having to re-install my game on a re-prepped computer, I have the following question:
If I re-install version 7.0 from the MCLV disk, how can I re-install MCNA? Do I just pick up the MCNA disk and install MCNA after MCLV?
Where can I get all the patches for MCNA, MCLV, Watchtower so that I can update them after re-installing from the disks?
Thak you for your help.

Hi Fabs,
For what concern downloading patches, see the thread "Download locations".
For what concern installing the different Megacampaigns, you could reinstall it as follows:
1) Desert Fox
2) Operation Watchtower
3) Lost Victories.
The installation of Lost Victories have to be made via Windows Explorer (click on Update.exe)
After installation, if you don't see MCOW and MCLV in the "Megacampaign file", try this (gived on an old thread):
your megacampaign directory should contain a save folder and a named Megacampaign directory for each MegaCampaign installed. Copy all of the info of the second Operation Watchtower in in the first one, all of your .snd files get copied into the main snd directory, the log file and zip file can be deleted. If you have a named MegaCampaign.cfg file it gets copied into the main MegaCampaign directory. Then you can delete all of the second set of nested directories. Same procedure for MCLV.
Hope that can help you...

Thanks for the tips, Scimitar.
Is it ok to first install SPWAW version 7 from the MCLV disk and then folow the sequence you have outlined or do I have to re-install successive versions of the game each time?

That is the way I did them and had no problem. Beware of nested files and directories. Be sure that the destination you type in for your mega campaigns does not add an extra "Steel Panthers World at War" to where the files are going.
After you have installed them, be sure and install the Watchtower patch last. That is because it has SHP files that include all special icons. The ones in LV don't have the ones for MC-W. So put those in last.
But the order as it is listed here worked fine for me.
Okay, Fabs. I have given the Wild Bill unofficial answer...whatever that might be worth

Yes, it is a little long...Originally posted by pbear
After loading the new LV patch what version should show up at the bottom, I get V7.0??
Also the first scenearo is 151 turns long, duh...............................

Only if you choose battle one with no options (the others have 15 turns). Anyway, since the Soviets will break, all you have to do is to capture the victory hexes, and the battle will end.

Some *minor* bugs (gameplay still great)
First of all:Originally posted by skukko
+150 ??? <<<<<<DUH !!
First two nodes were working fine and nothing were changed... I'll give my attention to it
msoh
MCLV plays great, the patched version (with the personalised briefing sections) is a nice enhancement of the game and everything worked fine.
I have so far encountered no serious flaws, there are just some little details:
1st Battle:
All 4 available battles have no information about node/scenario number
All 4 available battles have no information about location
The battle without options has 151 (instead of 15) turns.
(No location = no Battle location given during scenario design or it was lost - the name that would normally appera before the turn number. Nothing serious.)
2nd Battle:
Both Battles (Node 2a and node 2b) have no location
3rd battle (Expanding the bridgehead):
Scen 13: No location
Without options:
No location, no information about node number/scenario number.
4th battle (Reconnisance to Radziechow) :
No location
No designer name/node number/scenario number
OOB-Problem:
I am fighting against something that looks like a T-34, but calls itself T-26 m.33.
Here are the data:
T.26 m. 33
Weapons:
45 mm 20k m 1932
7.62 mm DT CMG
-
7.62 mm DT BMG
Speed 21
Cost 41
Armor: Turret:
50 62
45 57 52 69
45 62
My personal opinion is that it is a mix of the T-26 m. 33 (Name & main gun) and the T-34 m.41 imp (picture, secondary guns & armor).
______________________________________________
To make one thing clear: These are details. That there is no scenario number/node number in the bottom left of the map (except for scenario 13

The T-26/T-34 mixed monster (maybe the factory workers were drunk when they produced it

Or, maybe I made something wrong during the upgrade - first I upgraded from SPWAW 7.0 to 7.1, then I patched the MC.
Now I have a serious question:
I think that there might be more details in Battle 5 - ?.
Does Matrix want these things reported?
And in which way?
If we all post them here on the forums (maybe in different threads), there will be chaos and a wrong image about MCLV - it plays great, but a dozen people reporting 50 minor things like spelling errors, missing scenario numbers e.t.c. in 5 threads create a wrong image about MCLV.
If we all use the helpdesk, Daniel (or whoever works on it) might not be lucky receiving the 7th time a request:
Spelling error:
Documentation for "Reconnissance at Radziechow":
"The first graves":
"... was fgoing to..." should be "...was going to...."
and it would jam the helpdesk.
My suggestion:
One new thread ("Use this to report MCLV bugs" or something similar) where everyone can post anything from a simple spelling problem to real problems.
Kind regards,
Roland
