Any interest in 2 new units?

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

Any interest in 2 new units?

Post by Warhorse »

Hello all, just made two units for my personal collection, and since they are both pretty obscure, and one never saw combat, I was going to keep them to a small circle, but.. The first is the German 12.8cm Pz Sfl V a TD with only three made, but all sent to Russia in 1942, icon and stats, the second is the TOG for the US, icon and stats. Still testing the gun, just found stats last night, it was the 105mm T5 gun, an experimental, only two or so made(as with the vehicle itself), so info was tough. Just thought if anyone interested enough, I might have Rick and Fabio post these, if they would, as these most likely won't be issued with the 'official' OOB's. Although the Maus is, so.. I'll run it by voriax, but no promises!!

Warhorse, since I will never reach your level of great Icon's, is it possible in your spear time(HAHAHAHAHA) could you make some of the large gun enplacements used by UK and those at normady by the germans i.e. battery (TOTE?) misspelled as always Image
Thanks Don

I'd like to see them too warhorse. While we are on the topic of OOBs I'd like to beat a dead horse for a moment. I'd be really interested in seeing units that would be able to go into a WWI campaign. WWI has so many possibilities and would make a great series. I know WB et al are really busy with all kinds of other stuff so if anyone knows how to edit the OOBs (or has the patience to educate me on how to) I think this would be a project well recieved. I would love to put the time in to it if i knew how to do it.

Just thought I bring it up.

Hey Don, do you happen to have overhead depictions of any of these? Drawing, or even a photo, if not, I may be able to find something, but might take awhile. Usually takes about 1-2 hrs minimum to make an icon, sometimes less if not too detailed an item, so the better reference I have, the less time I can loose looking for a picture, and more time to 'draw'!! Thanks man

Surf, yeah I would personally like to see this also, although as much reference as I have on the subject, country specific formations are very hard to find anythin at all on!! There was a group that was working on the WW1 conversion for awhile, but they kinda fizzled out, and the link I had to the site thru the Wargamer, is not working now Image Icons would be a piece of cake, can find good amount of equipment data, but the formations are a bust, very good idea though!!
