Editing in campaigns

Does anyone know how to edit unit data in a (non-mega) campaign?

I'm in the middle of Das Reich and have lost two experienced tank crews. I carefully looked after them in a scenario after their tanks were blown up by mines which were undetected by infantry, but they have been replaced in the next one, with much less experienced crews with no kills. I thought surviving crews could be given new AFV. That is how I recall it happening before.

I first tried Campfixer, but there are no .cmt files in the campaign.

I have checked the manual (thanks in advance for your advice), and can find reference to SPWAWEd, but cannot find the program in my download.

What I'd like to do is to edit the leader name and the stats so they are the same as though the crew were assigned a new tank.

Any help available?

WaWEdit is good for many things incl. campaign "fixing"! Don´t miss the additional info to be found in the readme05e.txt (or 05b, 05c or 05d, depending upon what version you have! 05e is latest.) file!
