1700 Hours

Our orders are to advance against the Russian horde at Tula and push them back. It is very cold but clear out today you can see forever it seems. This will be of great benifit to us as we can pick them off way before they get to our lines. Vis is around 1500 feet. We will move out to meet the enemy at 1700 Hours. Our tanks have already begun to start there engines and begin the pre warm up before moving out. I can hear the deep rumble of the stugs starting up from here.

A company will run the road and swing south on the west side of a small line of hills before going over the top to confront the enemy just west of the objective area. B will swing north at the road just west of the line of hills and line up there before moving on to the north objective area. Three platoons of tanks will cover there left or northern flank as they move forward.

There will be three platoons of tanks in the south that will move forward and take the southern objectives at the same time. We expect to see a large concetration of enemy armor come against us today hopefully the range will give us the upper hand today.

See recon photo to see how we plan to use the low hills in front of us to move our men up into range of the objective areas before being exposed to enemy fire.

Still cold as heck but clear as a bell. Our tank gunners are pickin off the Russians at least 1100 feet away. About 15 minutes ago the first of there armor began to appear. Mostly zis30s to start and then the heavier stuff began to show. Took out at least 10 of them before we even began to recieve fire back from them. Lost our first tank 5 minutes ago to a great shot by one of there tanks.

Our Stukas came screaming in a while ago took out at least 3 of there zis 30s and maybe a few of there men. No luck with any of there heavier tanks tho. We did not get any heavy artty assigned us this time. Have no idea how this will effect our battle today. Sure wish I could hear some of those 150 shells whistling over our heads tho.

The photo im sending along will show there heavy concentrations of tanks. We will try to advance further after we have delt with the tanks. One of the objectives has been occupied by us and I believe we can hold it. As soon as the Infantry has moved into position they will begin there push. They are still moving into position on the west side of the low hill in front of the 2 north objectives. The southern one is being held by 3 platoons of our tansk so far but are being pressured by heavy concentrations of the enemy armor. Not a lot of enemy infantry has been sighted so far except by at least 4 squads near the center objective. Calling down our 81 mortars on them a bout right this minute.

Our men are up for this and we shall prevail today im sure.

One hour we have been blowing up there armor and they continue to come at us. Well over a hundred tanks have been turned into junk today. Our gunners have been near perfect today. Taking out there armor at well over 1000 feet. They have been able to pick off 3 of our tanks. Our losses are going to be very low today as they are not even getting close enough to hurt us.

Right now we are in the process of trying to encircle them and kill every one that came against us today. If we can get to the road that runs north and south to the east of the main battle ground we will cut there main force off.

Have found 5 AA units and took them out about 5 minutes ago plus took out at least 2 light mortars. We are also catching up to a lot of the crews that bailed out and are running to the rear as fast as they can go. Today will be a grand day for the Fatherland, the Fueher will be very proud of us and will be able to do a hell of a lot of bragging.

Dam I feel good about the way we fought today. Putting the 3 platoons of tanks on each flank was a stroke of genius I would say.

One hour and 30 minutes of pure hell. Death and destruction was the order of the day. I will say one thing for the enemy they never really gave up until the very end. We blew up more tanks then I thought existed in the whole world. Took out 171 of there best armor and drivers im sure while we lost only 3.

Our losses in men was low as well only 25 men were lost while we killed 1842 alot of these were trained tank crews. Going to take some time for them to recover from this defeat today. Seven of there artty were blasted to bits as well. Never saw such a slaughter and yet they kept coming at us. Saw some of there officers shoot a couple of there men today I assume they had had enough. But the officers didnt see it that way. Oh well if they want to help us more power to them.

We have gotten our orders and we are not to move from here but to set up defenses and to delay the enemy from advancing any more. We have begun to put up barricades today and should be well dug in by next month.

Also got some upgrades to our sig33 150s. The new sig33 PzII little more armor I believe. Plus the SP ATG to the new PzJg 35 R.
