Convoy Status - a suggestion

Post by sanderz »

Hi

I think it would be helpful to have different mesages - i know you can see detail in the box below, but i am most interested in convoys that have been attacked by the enemy. How about the messages say something like:
* Success
* Failure
* Not needed

Do you mean on the convoy list/setup window? Or the reports/convoy page?

The latter does show that info, plus which sea zones are traversed and where any depredations by the enemy are taking place.

I'm in favor of as much info like that that the devs can come up with, so if you are meaning to put that info on the convoy list/setup window also, I say go for it.

the convoy list that pops up between turns - all the info is there but its a pain to view it all

also - does deleting convoys work? actually is there any positive or negative effects of not deleting a convoy to a port that the enemy has

If one of the ports is in enemy hands the convoy won't be run.

One positive effect in deleting such a convoy is that it wouldn't take up space in the reports.

But then you will forget to re-create it and wonder why you can not reinforce your troops on the islands.

Or later you will not understand why you can not use transports or landing craft on islands after you capture them.

Your out of supply. That's the reason. You deleted the convoy.

The only thing you have to look at in the convoy screen, are those routes where convoys were destroyed. (IMO)

Intercepted convoys are taking away from your transport pool and destroying what ever you were transporting.

Either control that sea zone, or delete the convoy route, or leave it alone.

3 options, 3 different strategies.
