is there anyway to transfer a PBEM game from one computer to another? The sticking point is the password. Is there some file one may copy to allow playing on different computer?

I am about to upgrade computers, and I fear I will have the same problem.

Why wouldn’t you just be able to copy the save game file like any other save game file? The saved game has no idea what computer it is on.

A couple of my PBEM opponents have had trouble playing the game from their laptops, so I think that maybe the password file is stored seperately.

I regularly play my PBEM games on 2 computers and for a time there was a third PC (laptop) with no problems whatsoever.

Where do you expect the problems anyway? PBEM password is file dependent, not computer dependent. Just take care to have the latest patch installed on all PCs you use...

I play on my laptop when I'm traveling all the time and have never had a problem. The password is stored in the save game file you receive from your opponent, there's really no files that need to be transferred, you just use whatever you receive from your opponent.
