What does a good "invasion fleet" commander do?

Help them unload faster? Help them run from enemy warships faster? Makes really good coffee while the sailors do the real work?
I love it when a plan comes together.

Aside from the good info on PG 62 in the Manual his Exprience and Morale ratings will enhance the the Combat abilities of the TF, usually resulting in taking less damage overall from all sources, being less likely to "retire" if the TF takes serious damage from AC strikes and surface forces.

BTW: Setting up a H to H game playing both sides and experimenting with stuff like that is a revelation in how the game works.....;)

Who's got the time for that? I gotta play the game - not just fool around with it. I learn by playing (of course I learn some very hard lessons).:D

Never argue with an idiot, he will only drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Yes, but the Human player seems to serve in up more often and more unexpectedly. I say to myself often "how the Hell did he do that?" "right under my nose that so-and-so moved a whole regiment" etc. Also, the AI does not send condescending messages like "Well, although you lost 3 carriers, you did manage to sink 2 of my PCs"

Hey, I resemble that remark. You know if I ever wrote a computer program I'd add an Trash Talk option to the AI.

To the men of transport task force 4, thanks for the target practice..

The Shark society, would like to thank the crew of the Indianapolis for a wonderful dinner.

Major Bong sends greetings from the Rabaul POW camp and hopes that the rest of his squadron will soon join him.

Although, I guess most players would turn off the option :-)
