Combat Animations - Where Did They Go?

Post by The Duke »

After one of the patches about a year back (around ver 1.6 maybe?) the combat animations - the aerial dogfights w/ CAP, etc. seem to have been dropped - in any case, I didn't see them anymore.

Is this something that was planned, or am I missing something? Just starting a new PBEM @ the most recent patch version, but still miss the combat animations from 2006 and further back.

Any insight is appreciated,
Thanks-

They're still there, are you sure you didn't just turn them off?

Memory is fuzzy, but I think it might be a 1st turn glitch only, not showing the animations on the Pearl Harbor attack.....think that's it.

Sorry - been a year, memory is rusty ;-)

IF you've started a game with "historical first turn" - you might not ever get the animations.

Some players have been able to retrieve them ... many have not. Usually, it requires are restart to get them going in many cases.

Several threads on the support forum about this in the past several months.
