Pilot Experience

Do pilots earn experience when ferrying aircraft or only when flying combat missions?
I only wish I had you, the gentlemen of the pen, exposed for once to a smart skirmishing fire...

from my experience training is good to earn experience from low lever pilot to medium
combat is the best , most i your pilot get a kill
escort Cap is usefull as well , but at a low efficiency
I don t think that move to base form a base as an impact on experience
regarding bomber I think training is better than ground attack for low experience pilot, but attack may be is better for pilot above 50
