Want to be a ship captain in the War Plan Orange Expansion?

Post by Tankerace »

Since it would take far too long, and use too much of my limited resources, to hunt down every ship captain of every 1920's ship, I have decided to reuse many of the names already in WiTP. But, to replace the more well known names, and as kind of a thank you to all the support I have gotten in working on this thing, I will allow a good number of people to be captains.

If you want to be included as a CO in the mod, here is what I need.

1. Your name, as you want to have it, in the Witp format. So mine would be Prince, J. P.
2. The ship you want to command (see below)
3. A rough estimate of your leadership and inspirational skills.

As far as ships go, this is the work you guys will have to put in. All the Japanese WWI ships and never were designs up to the Amagis will be included, with few exceptions, most of the USN will be included, and a decent portion of the RN and commonwealth Navies will be included. If for whatever reason your ship doesn't make it into the scenario, I will add you in as captain of a similar type of ship.

Since the US and Japanese ships involved would take too long to enter in, you guys and do an online search, find out ships that were around then, and pick the one you want.

RN and Commonwealth ships that will FOR SURE be included are:

HMS Tiger BC (already taken, she's gonna be my command)
Image
HMS Lion BC
Image
HMS Hood BC
HMS Repulse BC
Both Surviving Invincible class BCs
HMAS Australia BC
HMNZS New Zealand BC
HMS Emperor of India BB
HMS Iron Duke BB
HMS Dreadnought BB
HMS Agincourt BB

All major classes will be represented, but not necessarily make an appearance.

If you want to command a never were design, then you will be added to the replacement pool of the 1922 scenario, and be in command of your ship in the 1926 scenario.

Ok, Enjoy fellas. I'll keep tabs on this for a few days, then gather it all.

Yes please - neat idea. I've always been a fan of the US tinclad battlecruisers of the Lexington class and some of those are great names for ships.

Name would be: Henderson, R.M.

leadership 46 Inspiration 72

I'd prefer the Constitution CC-5 but either Constellation CC-2, or United States CC-6 would be great. Failing that Maryland BB-46 was always a favorite from PacWar.

Hi,

Great Idea, you put in loads of work.

If you fancy adding it, I'll go for HMS Argus (Ex Liner SS Comte Rosso) ;>0

While you Guys race around with your Kongo clones at 30 Kts, I might only make 2/3rds of that speed.

If no can do, put me down for any RN you like if not already taken.

Baker R P L=50 I=60.

Keep up the good work, it brings much pleasure to those not gifted in the finer arts of making a Mod!
