ok. so Spriors bogged down at Changsha where my troops sit behind level 9 forts.

so now hes going around the flanks and using the ZOC.

even though its not a tiny fragment, hes essentially using 10000 men to cut off 220,000. and with the ZOC they wont be able to move soon and get destroyed. in relative terms of size 10000 IS a fragment when compared to a 220000 man army.


advice please?

send reinforcements to the flanks and hope they get there?

or fall back and abandon the Heavy Industry and a base with 50000 supplies and level 9 forts?

ok so as everyone knows, spriors moves around Changsha have turned me into a stuck broken record. because of the zone of control BS i have to either evac and abandon the city to him or stay and try and get my troops to block his advance which could result in them being cut off cuz of the stupid ZOC thing and boom im out 220000+ chinese troops.

like the magical occupation thing, where the troops supposedly send a few guys over to plant a flag and "claim it for spain"

now in an occupation situation where the other hex/base doesnt have enemy troops in it, i suppose its plausible even though the hexes are like 60 miles.

but in order to really control a hex you need more than a squad of guys there. thats why this ZOC thing is BS cuz theres no way a squad of guys should be able to keep 10000 men from moving into it.




now despite the excellent advice ive gotten im still hesitant to risk the 220,000+ chinese troops being cut off and destroyed cuz of this BS ZOC thing.

but im also hesitant to abandon changsha and by necessity Hengchow to Sprior because of it.

thus im stuck.

A. losing the troops AND the city(s)
B. losing the cities
C. losing the troops

given the choice id rather pick B cuz then i still have the troops but a smaller perimeter to defend



as seen/shown and shown by my sig, id rather avoid land combat in asia but china in particular as im one of those that believe it(china) doesnt add that much to the game
