Things are plugging along. Each side lost an AK from old damage. The I-32 put two torps into an unescorted AK off the coast of Bombay. [:D] Planes out of Darwin put a 250 lb bomb into an AP and AK.
Bruce continued to land forces at Darwin.
Bob bombed oil at Magwe (4 damage) and resources at Meiktila (a couple resources damaged).
I tried a horrible assault at Noumea and took 3257 casualties to 225 Allied casualties. [:(]

We got an A6M3 Daitai as a reinforcement today. It'll be headed to the Burma theater.
The Allies lost an AK from old damage. We had a MSW and 2 AKs damaged from various means.
54 B-17s levelled Meiktila damaging 17 resources. [8|]
Bruce landed at Nicobar Island. He also took Taung Gui causing 374 casualties to 302 casualties.
Iwo Jima's port reached level 2 and Luganville's airfield finally hit level 4!

We got a Helen Sentai for Southern Area Army today. We got a 6k TK as well.
The Allies lost 2 AKs from old damage and had the Porpoise damaged by a Lily and an Alf (100kg and 30kg bombs). The Rover put a torp into an AK between Pt. Blair and Rangoon.
Bruce took Nicobar Island.
Meiktila was bombed again and had 7 more resources damaged. [8|]
Eniwetok's airfield reached level 3.

Slow turn today. The few highlights:
We lost an AP from old damage. Also, the RO-33 took 3 DCs from Allied DD at Attu. It's unlikely she'll make it. She has 93 flot damage. [8|] Speedy had mistakenly bombarded Attu a few days ago. One of our house rules was that naval bombardment can occur only against bases that are going to be invaded (or attacked on the ground). He apologised, but the damage to the base has drastically slowed our attempts to bring Attu's airfield to level 4. It's currently at about 3.35. An Allied TF of 1 CL and 3 DDs visits Attu daily to catch supply convoys. We don't have anything in the area to counter that. We'll figure out a counter, but it'll be some days before we can do it.
Meiktila was bombed by the air again. 21 resources this time. [:(]
I attacked some Chinese 1 hex NW of Wenchow. I took 1206 casualties to 440 Chinese casualties. Not sure what happened there. [:@]

Absolutely no ships were hit on either side. [X(] I'm pretty sure that's a first.
Guess what? Meiktila was hit again for 7 resource hits. [8|]
I attacked the hex NW of Wenchow again. I didn't push them out of the hex but the results were better this time. I took 59 casualties to 306 Chinese casualties. I'll bombard for the next couple of turns to allow my forces to rest.
Bruce had a nice hit over Katherine (a few hexes south of Darwin) today. He sent a sweep of 89 Zeros and 25 Oscars and they ran into 6 Wirriways, 6 Kittyhawks, 19 P-40Bs and 7 P-40Es. A swirling dogfight resulted in the loss of 6 Wirriways, 4 Kittyhawks, 19 P040Bs and 1 P-40E for the loss of 2 Zeros and 3 Oscars. Unfortunately, this was offset by an attack on Moulmein that cost us 7 Oscars and 10 Lily Is. Overall, the Allies had 34 planes shot down in air-to-air to our 18.

Reinforcement: Small AK at Nagoya
Not much happened other than the daily bombardment all over the map.
We had an AK hit by a recon LB-30 and the RO-67 put a torp into the DD Stuart at Norfolk Island.
Nauru Island's airfield reached level 2. I forgot to mention that yesterday, Rabaul's airfield reached level 5.

Reinforcement: Medium AK at Osaka
Another quiet day, more or less. We lost an AK to old damage. Also, the RO-33 succumbed to her wounds of 27 May. I-173 put a torpedo into an AK southe of Nuomea.
Bob bombarded Meiktila again. Six resources destroyed this time.
More troops were landed at Darwin and we also landed at Taliabu.

RE: Threadwar 3x3 - Japanese Animal War-Speedy, Robert, Niceguy-Stay Out!
End of month production review:
I track the location of my oil and resources and try to increase the amount in each region. I'm currently attempting to increase the reserves to 6 months per region. Here's the status:
Oil
Japan - 7.7 months (430k surplus)
China/Manchuria - 4.6 months (66k short)
South China (Hong Kong/Canton) - 7.2 months (4600 surplus)
French Indochina - 0.35 months (46k short)
Formosa - 228 months (200k surplus)
Siam/Malaya - 4.6 months (8k short)
Resources
Japan - 4.3 months (433k short)
Note that Formosa is a hub for oil/resources from Palembang and N. Borneo. 150k of the oil currently there is heading to China and will take care of them for awhile.
There is a TK convoy filling at Tarakan. It will top off from Brunei and then drop off 78k oil at FIC (Saigon and Bangkok) putting them over the 6 month mark.
Siam/Malaya (really Singapore) will get about 50k oil from Banka in a week or so, which will take care of them.
Concerning resources, everything will flow to the Home Islands. There still aren't enough resource centers to support the HI and manpower. We're short about 600 resources a day or roughly 500 centers short of breaking even. We're repairing as fast as possible, but it's still a slow process.
Here are some other stats for you guys.

Production (cont):
Resources. Note that there are excess resources at various places. Here's what there is (and note that it is all going to the Home Islands:
China: 40k
Southern China: 10k
FIC: 30k
Formosa: 20k
Siam/Malaya: 100k
That is 200k + an additional 100k on AKs heading toward the Home Islands. There is also additional amounts around the SRA that has yet to be loaded on ships. Japan will use about 245k resources next month. My goal is to get Japan's resource defecit to <250k by the end of June.
There is about 300k oil at Palembang as well as various amounts in other locations around the SRA. The only limiting factor for moving it is TKs. I have quite a few acceletated right now.

Good stuff, Mike. We may give you grief about your spreadsheets, but I love looking at the production numbers, too. [;)]

Sorry guys for no update to this AAR for some time.......Mike is taking a breather from the game due to RL commitments........I'll try and update over the next few weeks........
But first, less an update....more a question......we Japanese....have a thorney little problem at Nomea.....we invaded NC......took the rest of the island......and now are in siege at Nomea......the AV values of both sides are about the same......about 700 each side....
We hold Luganville (lvl 4 airfield).....and have a lvl 3 airfield on NC itself.......but the allies have a working airfield at Nomea......which is now running regular bombing raids......
So what to do......
1. resupply only.......would take all of KB to cover......and then fight a dirty little airwar here....hold until destroyed......
2. withdraw to Lunga/Luganville....but withdrawing in the face of the enemy....even with KB covering scares me......
3. reinforce.......I can add another 700 av to Nomea......in the next month.....but feel this will not be enogh to froce the issue.......and with the PP HR we have......I can't afford any more troops for SEF area........
Any thought would be most welcome....
