Floatplanes ~ Airfield Size

Greetings,

It is wished to know which size of airfield is needed for floatplane operations.

(naval search, CAP/sweet for float fighters, or attack missions)

(also wish to know the effect of seaplane tenders)

Airfield size needed = 0. You can use seaplanes at "dot" hexes.

You need ocean though (although some places on rivers, etc. will allow floatplane operation).

Seaplane tenders provide Aviation Support (AV) for the seaplanes. You still need supplies for flight operations at the base.

EDIT: i don't think you can mount "attack" missions from size 0, but CAP (float-fighters), recon, naval search should work OK... i think the other restrictions on airfield size still apply (need size 2 for offensive air missions, size 4 for torpedoes, etc.)
