Converting Endurance in fuel

Post by gladiatt »

I hope to get some answers, so i open a knew thread about this question:

is there a rule to convert the endurance of a ship in fuel points ?
For exemple, how many fuel need a ship with 6000 Endurance? one with 16000?
Does it depend of the size of the ship? of it speed ? Else ?

Thanks in advance

So, Terminus gave me an answer on the Thread of Admiral Edition, so i've got my no-answer (as there is no rule on this point).

Hello Gladiatt,

I did not see Terminus' reply.  He may have given you a better answer than this.  As I see it, fuel consumption should also be based on size, not just endurance.  A massive ship with the same endurance rating as a smaller ship will need more fuel. That means there really shouldn't be a simple rule to compare endurance with fuel requirements.

Hi Oldguard.
Terminus wasn't so short in his answer: he answered pretty much like you did.
There was no complain of me: just a summarie of the lack of "easy" answer about this.

AS a rule of thumb,
could Endurance be divided by fuel storage of each ship to have a small idea ?
Maybe i am going in too much details ?

Salut Gladiatt,

J'imagine "endurance" divisee par "fuel" donnera une idee, mais seulement pour chaque classe de vasseau.  A mons avis, ca sera trop difficile et detaille.

Hi Oldguard .
[X(][&o] Hey guy, your french, even if it is obvious you are not a native frenchmen, is still very good and understandable !!
About Fuel and endurance: i had the same thinking, converting is very hard.
Also, my opponent still manage to send AO with escort to resupply at sea his KB; neither my LBA or Subs manage to launch an attack (and when there is one, the LBA usualy fail to hit something). So, the question was a way for me to know when my opponent will sail back home: i think now it is a matter of air sorties or ammunition, not fuel.
Thanks for the interest
