WTF is that, some kind of Australian marsupial?

Cap, I was a Californicator for twelve weird "If I was a violent type, I'd shoot all the sunsabeeches, but I ain't, so I'm only shootin' you" years. What a place. Just think if Al Qaida was hiding out in the Sierra foothills ... hmm. Maybe they are.

Now, men, down to the serious business of the day. If we don't want Erik von Schterik to move this thread to less exalted environs, we gotta start talking about stuff that's WitP related.

So, I'll start. The Yamato wasn't sunk, it was magically transformed into John McCain's campaign bus, which then sank, with the ensuing laughable consequences.

This is epecially hard while talking on your cell phone. Have you guys even heard of a hands free device? My wife is from southern CA and it took me about 3 years to break her of the habit of talking on her phone while driving with her knee.

So, who were the great geezer leaders of the war in the Pacific?

Well, MacArthur was certainly Mr. Cranky Pants. Probably Halsey, too.

Okay, let's play "Name That Geezer" while we wait for the little girls to come out for recess. Here's an easy one. You ancient perverts can take it from there.

Probably Halsey, too.

If I remember correctly Halsey's daughter described him as "Very even tempered, he was angry all the time". Yep, sounds like a geezer to me.

Halsey was a geezer worthy of backing his cranky attitude, that we geezers proudly have, with action.  Doug, on the other hand, was delusional due to his age because he thought & promoted himself as a great warrior who should've been king.

I am the most even tempered, calm, nice as can be person that I know.  [;)]  Does falling down the stairs last night give me reason to bitch more than usual?  [:D]

I never thought that doing an AAR would be so time consuming and difficult.

Wasn't the admiral of the PH strike, who called off the 2nd strike, a geezer?

I recall that King's daughter said that. Halsey was known for being extremely kind to friends and family, and caring for a wife who was said to be certifiable. An example of his loyalty to friends was that he didn't want to be thew one to tell Ghourmley that he was reliving him. He also always supported his friend Husband Kimmel.

I still think he may have made the right decision based on the info he had.
For what we are about to receive, may we be truly thankful.
