In this case - the unit had the initials BIC (I have to look up why) - and it was originally too small in RHS - it had 2000 men - about 3 light infantry battalions - so I assume a regiment. It had two batteries of artillery - I gave it one of 95 mm fixed CD guns and one of 75 mm mobile mountain guns - and I gave it most of the heavy weapons of a regiment. According to my book on the French Army, all organizations had the same essential structure - no matter if active or reserve, French nationals or territorials, or even function. Most heavy weapons come in threes - thus you get 3 mortars, 3 MMG, 3 25mm AT guns. The unit in RHS is a composite one - including also some other things - now even a fixed and civilian support element for Pan Am flying boats. The unit is essentially a fixed security force for Noumea. I am not sure without looking it up - but you might be thinking of a different unit - raised at the same time - and called Marine - which was indeed of battalion size - but at the time the PTO erupts into war - it was a component of a Brigade in North Africa - distinguishing itself at Tobruk. Although it is listed in my French Army book - and I put it in - I had to take it out - because it left the theater before PTO erupted into war.

PT-45/45/47 was added to all scenarios from the start of the game at Hawaii. PT-47 was involved with a famous skipper.

.303 Vickers K slot 49 (accuracy = 30) and .303 Vickers V slot 51 (accuracy = 32) will become a combined device simply called Vickers (slot 51 accuracy = 31). The former Vickers K will be renamed .303 Browning with an accuracy rating of 34.
All aircraft that had the K will now have the Browning - unless someone points out a case that should migrate to device 51 - and use a Vickers.

One such case is the Walrus (slot 213) - armed with the Vickers K - but I discovered that one.
Another is the Swordfish (slot 88) - both guns should be Vickers - fixed.

Another issue is those that have Vickers G but need Brownings - see Wellington (slot 214) and Mosquito (Slot 201) - fixed.

Albacore deteted the BR MG - standard armament was a .303 forward and a Vickers K TR - so we went with that.
Slot 77.

Seafires (slots 85 and 86) have 303 Browning vice .30 Browning.
Same for Spitfies (slots 203 and 204).
Note this is done for cosmetic reasons: there is no difference in game terms - and it also was the same gun -
but the caliber was slightly different - 7.7 mm vice 7.62 mm - and it looks better to say so.

Hurricane IIb (slot 187) and Sea Hurricane (slot 87) have their MG increased to 12. All references say .303 - without saying which kind - so we stay with the Vickers.

Large Old US Tanker La Purisima (Slot 6111) appears in New Orleans on 420101. This is a change in all scenarios.

It was due Tuesday - but didn't happen because not completed. I am not working Thursday - so current goal is Friday.
The tweeking of .30 caliber guns is far more complex than it sounds like. In RHS not all units have the same loadout - so updating all airgroups would wipe out all that flavor -- and instead we must do every unit separately.

The 1st Cavalry Division became the 1st Motor Division shortly after
the outbreak of war and then the 3rd Armoured Division (15 Nov 1942).
The 2nd Cavalry Division similarly became the 2nd Motor Division and
then the 2nd Armoured Division. These two divisions were militia and
permanent army and so were legally restricted to Australia.

Based on this material - from Harry Erwin - I will review the two units so they will have their status reflected in their name - and so they will convert from cavalry to tank divisions.

1st Cavalry/3rd Tank Division (this being a WITP form - should be Armored Division) slot 2550.
2nd Cavalry/2nd Tank Division slot 2562.

Point at formation slot 2038.

All three now reclassified as tank divisions but retain the cavalry symbol art.

The units start with cavalry and replace it in due course with Grant Tanks. Many devices stay the same - but Stuart I light tanks replace 2 pdr AT guns - and MG will gradually decrease over time from 48 to 16. Support squads will decrease from 228 to 50, while motorized support will grow from 48 to 210. Bren carriers increase from 1 to 48. Grant tanks increase from 1 to 144 (3 battalions of 48). Light tanks increase from 1 to 10 (these and the Bren carriers form a recce regiment).

Device 484 Stuart I increases from 15 to 30 production rate.
485 Stuart VI increases from 17 to 45 production rate.
486 Grant increases from 27 to 30 production rate. Date moved forward 1 month to 4202.
487 Sherman V increases from 37 to 45 production rate.
511 Bren increases from 15 to 60 production rate.

Liberator IV (slot 194) defensive armament changed from .30 Browning MMG to .50 Browning HMG

Beafort VII (slot 170) defensive armament changed to two .303 Vickers F, 1 .303 Vickers TT, 1 .303 Browning BR.
This is the most common of several options. The rear gun is - curiously - under the chin.

Beaufighter MkX (slot 169) defensive armament changed to 1 .303 Vickers TR - the Hispano 20mm were not changed.
This aircraft could also be fitted with a Browning in the same position. There was another mass produced MkX - but only used by Fighter Command - and unable to mount a torpedo.

RHS Comprehensive Update 7.957 packaging for uploading to the primary distibution list.
It should appear at primary and backup RHS sites in a day and an updated installation/switcher routine
presumably will appear a few days after that. IF you have installed using the installer already - just dump these files into your SCEN folder and you are good to go.
