RHSWPO 7.9571 Mandatory Update

Post by el cid again »

It appears the original release of WPO used Level 6 BBO as its foundation. This has the primary effect of messing up the map - particularly along the edges and in Australia. It also means many little things differ - units never backfitted - and non critical eratta - are absent.

There is so little changed from BBO that I was able to rebuild the files in a few minutes.

The original release had some chrome - files not related to the data files - and they are not included in the update.
Some of the data files should be the same (e.g. leaders and pilots never change). But all data files are included and need to go into the SCEN folder of WITP if you have an RHS install.

This update was sent to the RHS Primary Distribution List and will appear at sites shortly. Since Harry Erwin is monitoring this real time - his backup site should come up first.

The backup site is up and the files have been validated. The only unexpected thing is that Toyoda replaced Yamamoto when Yamamoto resigned rather than Yonai (the Navy Minister and Yamamoto's candidate). It doesn't make a significant difference, and isn't worth chasing up.

The backup site is http://scat-he-g4.sunderland.ac.uk/~harryerw/witp/7.95%20Update/index.html
