Vichy France?

From the front lines in France and Russia to the deserts of North Africa and the airfields and convoys of Britain, the campaigns of World War II are yours to command in WW2: Time of Wrath! This turn-based grand strategy title, the highly improved and expanded sequel to WW2: Road to Victory, puts the player in charge of the political, economic and military decisions of one or more Axis or Allied nations, including minor nations.

How are we supposed to know about these events, what triggers them, or even what they do?

I keep seeing event reports, but I have no idea what they mean.
I quite like not knowing what will trigger a surrender or not. Did the historical adversaries? That said, France seems a lot more surrender resistant than its historical counterpart.. What bothers me more though, is the loss of all axis troops in Vichy territory once the surrender takes place. Better to stay at war ;)

Here:

Paris
and
(Metz and Reims) or (Lille and Reims) or (Metz and Lille)
and
Nantes
and
Tours or Caens

I don't think so. I had Paris, Metz, Reims and Lille for weeks, also Caen. Surrender wasn't offered until I took Nantes.

Don't know if you read your own post here but that's exactly what's supposed to happen. Not sure why it's so hard to follow, perhaps if reworded:

You must have Paris, Nantes, any two of Metz, Reims, Lille, and either of Tours or Caen.

Simple! Heh, ok maybe not. :)
