I accepted the Vichy path and most of my heavy troops inside Vichy, where are they now?

well two turns later and they have been returned, TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!!
Time to build NUKES and drop them on the game!!!

I assume you are playing as Germany and beaten France?

First of all : Are you talking about forces that were in French territory that becomes Vichy? What nation are you? If you are the Axis then your German, Italian and Slovakian troops will be sent back into the Deploy box. If Allied, eg. British, then they will also be in the Deploy box. If they are French then some troops, and the French Navy will be available when Vichy becomes active.

I know of no nation where the forces go away for two turns. More details please.

Sorry, sleep depravation is my excuse.. ALL my heavy German pansers wher in what is now Vichy, and boom, they are no more! I played two turns hoping the would populate my deploy box, only ones do go there where the planes... good grief this is frustrating!

That is certainly no good! I hope this is looked into. Do you have any file saved from before the Vichy event?

I had the same trouble with ITALIAN units ONLY . german units were not lost , but italian disapeared and were not in deploy box .
I had to replay and withdraw italian units from france before meeting the vichy conditions .

I just did the Vichy stage and all unit were returned to both Italy and Germany

Just a thought! What happens if, say, German troops have passed into Italian controlled Vichy territory (still French really) before the trigger snaps? Will the system look for German units in Vichy territory and arrange those found to the German deploy box. Then it looks for Italian units in Italian occupied territory, but neglect to react upon the German ones. Maybe the German units in Italian hexes went to limbo. This will also explain why we're getting different results.
