this is a narrow front battle, with some maps being larger and more complex, as it's a game about thinking and not just pure attack, as cut off and end supply works much better than hammering on the front door, so more thought and less losses pays and will hopefully get you a win, with the basic tutorial giving you the basics to understand the game as a whole, and then giving you the tools to progress onto bigger and larger opp's and battles, for you to progress, hopefully with what you have been shown and learned

Image

while the battles are in real time, as you can pause the combat and planing part, it can be played and done like any hex turn based game most of us are use to playing without issue, as shown above, the results are displayed as it happens, i've just paused to see the results as the Russians withdraw to the east

alt tabbing in and out of windows is supported and so far with no issues to report, the screen can be left on as main or minimized again with no ill effects in windows 10.

screenshots are the default print screen button and paste into paint for me, so that's supported and works well, memory and CPU use is low in game, so not either heavy

Image

campaign wise, you have more than enough to keep most going for more than per hour price paid, so not going to be a short game, that's for sure, regarding replay ability, well that's as many times as you like, as options open at the start of any are your call, so you don't have to follow history if you don't know it or don't want to, you can make your own, not saying you will win either, that again is anyone's guess[:D]

25 battles to fight, with options to alter on each, so X number of different types from the positions and options at start from these alone

I have had the game for a while. It may be simple to learn, but it's the only game I own that I play on 'easy' after the first few scenarios, I am ashamed to say. :)

Alan, i started on medium difficulty, and got to last 3 maps. However, i didn't buy enough replacement soldiers along the way and on the 4-5 maps from the end suffered over 100k casualties, from which I could not recover. Last 3 became impossible. If I had a save game from around 8 maps from end, i could go back and stock up on manpower.

I'm replaying from beginning now, and after every map I'm buying 15k replacement soldiers, to build up to 250k or something in reserve. The very hard and impossible defensive maps can be won, some of them decisively by encirclement, but your infantry has to hold certain choke points to allow your armor to encircle/surrender/cut lines of supply.

Zak, I opened a support ticket for Panzer Doctrine, and they said they couldn't help (Issue ID :37494).

During battle, the enemy soldier count goes to zero, they are all dead. But the victory counter stays still...The battle never ends. No matter how many divisions i throw into the fight, the battle indicator stays stuck. I've retreated and re-attacked same objective, and still same situation. The only way is to revert game to previous save. Once the bug happens i can't finish game due to victory objective bug.

Please help. I can provide screenshots and perhaps a save game. This has happened many times over last 6 months. The last time this happened it happened twice at the same time.
