Patch this weekend?

Matrix Games and Simulations Canada combine and completely remake two classic NATO vs. Warsaw Pact wargames into a new classic. Based on the original wargames “Main Battle Tank: North Germany” and “Main Battle Tank: Central Germany”, Flashpoint Germany is a new grand tactical wargame of modern combat. Every aspect of modern grand tactical warfare is included, from advanced armor, air and helicopters to chemical and tactical nuclear weapons. Step into the most dangerous war.. . that never was.

Patch this weekend?

Post by sage »

Is there a chance we'll get the patch this weekend? I keep getting decisive victories against the poor Soviets. I want them to crush me, dang it!

I guess we can say it won't be ready for the weekend. [:)]

Still looking forward to it...

We hit a snag with a very pesky LOS bug that was causing a far amount of grief. Good news is we have it fixed, bad news is we have a few minor things to correct in other areas. As Erik stated we should be good to go later this week when the last minor ends are tied up.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!

Just a quick update here, due to a crunch on our side working on making sure we get M-F out as soon as possible, we may have to delay the patch release until the beginning of next week.

Oh, I believe that it will be worth it... I was just hoping to get it before Steel Beasts Pro PE showed up on my doorstep. Talk about feast or famine! Yikes.

Ohhhh ... SB Pro PE .... god I wish I had the $120, got the first one the day it came out and it is still on my computer.

Soon though, won't have to wait much longer for 1.1; and it will be great!

Yes, still very interestied in 1.1, especially because I can play Flashpoint on my laptop when traveling etc...

Just think of Pro PE as the 2.5 other tank sims you would have bought, had there actually been others on the market. That was the logic I used to justify it to myself. It makes no sense otherwise. On the way!

LOL, nice way to think of it ... but as a poor colege student I just don't have that much spare cash ... well ... maybe if I stopped eating for a month or two ... this could work ... Right now the plan is to wait for SB2 to come out, if I can wait that long [:D]

Why $120!!!!!!!!!!!! Seems like an awful lot for a game! Also, what is the relevance of Steel Beasts Pro PE? I know about Steel Beasts - but what is the Pro and PE part about? And again, what about the $120? Why?

To make it more acessible.

SB Pro PE (Personal Edition) is the first version of what will become Steel Beasts 2, SB Pro is the super realistic version that is intended for military end users to run tactical simulations and training, the PE version is basically the exact same thing but without some of the bells and whistles that a personal user would never need, such as VoIP arty calling and unlimited multiplayer conectivity. It is $120 becouse you are basically getting a military trainer / simulator. Steel Beasts 2 will be out in a while and will be the Pro version but toned-down a bit and aimed at the general gaming audicance.

The official website is www.esimgames.com .

Modern tank sims have always been my absolute favorite sim type, so it was a no brainer for me.
