I'm very late to this, but great game.

Matrix Games and Simulations Canada combine and completely remake two classic NATO vs. Warsaw Pact wargames into a new classic. Based on the original wargames “Main Battle Tank: North Germany” and “Main Battle Tank: Central Germany”, Flashpoint Germany is a new grand tactical wargame of modern combat. Every aspect of modern grand tactical warfare is included, from advanced armor, air and helicopters to chemical and tactical nuclear weapons. Step into the most dangerous war.. . that never was.

Got it during the Christmas sale as an additional pickup. Had been looking at it literally for years. As an old Cold Warrior stationed in Germany 85-88 (8th ID), as well as in the 70s, I find it quite interesting for, well, "sentimental" reasons, among other things. Neat game. I enjoy the ad hoc scenario creator. Well done. I'll keep an eye on updates on the next project.

Repost from a few days ago...[;)]

Good evening sports fans...

We are still all alive and well (or at least getting over various flu's, vacations and holidays). The game is slowly moving forward. Rob is working bugs and AI and Merrick is working on maps for scenarios. I've been fairly tied up and I'm way behind on data work. I 'm using my holiday break from work to play catch up on other projects sitting in front of data work in my freetime queue (two jobs for my dad, two other items, and then ME Data). Of coarse going into work the past three days for a few hour to help with things has slowed what progress I was hoping for. Once I get back to hammering on the ME dataset I'll also have more time to post updates and pics as we work toward getting a finished product.

We definately thank those of you hanging in there. Have a safe and Happy New Year (hopefully with a finished game to boot). [:D]

OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!

I´m late too. [:)]

But great game.

I love the scale, the we-go system, the radio traffic, the time-line and the modern style. (I could go on...)
Too bad , I haven´t bought it earlier.

That´s the way a modern wargame should be ......

I will buy Flashpoint Middle-East without doubt.

Thank you, that is music to my ears!  Cap'n Darwin and I are working on Flashpoint Middle East every day and yes we are still running way late.  It will be awesome when it arrives though - just about everything now has been tweaked, improved or added to.  We will then do a quick FPG version called "Red Storm" to bring it up to the same engine.

Hang in there, Rob Crandall

Will "Red Storm" be a new product or an update to the original FPG? I've been looking at FPG but if an update is coming I may just wait.

Looking forward to Middle East!
