Based on the original wargames “Main Battle Tank: North Germany” and “Main Battle Tank: Central Germany”, Flashpoint Germany is a new grand tactical wargame of modern combat. Every aspect of modern grand tactical warfare is included, from advanced armor, air and helicopters to chemical and tactical nuclear weapons. Step into the most dangerous war.. . that never was.

Nato Arty

Post by Korzun »

Hi all,

I bought FPG three days ago and so far I think it´s great fun to play it. Since I always play Nato forces, I wonder why Nato artillery doesn´t have a Direct Support option whereas Soviets have it. Any answers ?

By the way:
Great support by the developers!

Korsun,

Doctrine and flexability. NATO units can call in any "on call" Arty units very quickly to hit WP locations. WP communications are slower and less flexible. One way around that is to have Arty directly linked to a unit. It allows that specific unit to call in fast strikes, but at the cost of having the Arty unit unable to respond to other units call for support. In game terms NATO is always "directly supported".

Hope you enjoy the game. We have been hard at work with the latest update (taking much longer then planned but worth it I think). If you have any other questions or ideas let us know!
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!
