Where is map preferences though? It's not under game preference?

Edit nevermind, it's that big PREF button. Duh.

There's also the Range/Bearing display that will display the range and bearing between two clicks on the map. It displays them in the message window.

The hotkeys can be found here. <edit>The features are also listed under the Settings menu.</edit>

The Map Scale function may not be such a hot idea. I urge caution in its use. See:

Map scale is erroneous.

The hotkey range calculator has been nicely improved as of late to display the range to the first decimal place. Instead of just showing 10 nm in previous versions, it can now be more specific with 10.3 nm. (A big difference in some tight situations. [;)])
