Mission editing

Post by hms_glowworm »

I am trying to get a single aircraft, or group, to carry out another Mission when they have "Returning to Base" in the Mission bar of the Unit Status window. When I try and allocate such returning units to either another existing mission, or a new one designed for them (i.e get returning units to do something useful, when they still have plenty of fuel and ordnance left), is this possible, SHOULD I be able to do it?

Thanks,

Matt

I think it is possible.  Have you tried to use the "Unassign" hotkey on them before assigning them to your second mission?

They should appear in the right hand side of your Mission Editor the way these Spirits, Ravens, and Raptors do.

If they are not there, you might try selecting the aircraft and then hitting F3 twice to give them a plotted mission then cancelling it. This might make them re-appear in the Unassigned selection window.

If you are still unable to re-assign them, please zip up the file and attach it to a message here so that others might be able to take a look at your saved game and give further suggestions.
