Patches?

Any new patches to correct all these problems we're having?
Am i really going to have to ask for a refund?
Its not Matrix gamings fault.. more th fault of the designers putting out such a buggy program.

This patch that is recommended, I've heard it said on this site that it doesn't have all of the "functionality" one would like; i.e. multi-player function. A. Is that still the case? B. Can you recommend how I can load/run this newer version/patch and still retain my older version to just in case?
