Planes did not launch

I was playing Battle of the Western Approaches, where I am trying to get a convoy into England.

When I ordered planes to launch from St. Mawgan, it did not launch. What it did was go into a getting ready state, where it showed how much time was left to ready it. Before I ordered it to launch, it showed as ready.

What would cause this?

I just tried out the scenario with 3.9.3 and the OriginalDB (issued by Matrix). I see that the Tankers did exactly what you described. I manually ordered them to launch and they simply re-set to 30 mins ready time.

The simplest solution is just to abandon the ODb scenarios. They are full of bugs and non-functional. You are wasting your time with them and your frustration level will only rise with every new bug you (re-)discover as many of them have already been previously reported to AGSI.

Grab and install the PlayersDB:
Complete Harpoon ANW Library

Then use your Configuration Launcher and select the PlayersDB November 15, 2008 as shown in the diagram. If you play our version instead of the Matrix version, they may not be perfect, but I guarantee that you will have far fewer problems.

I followed the link and I downloaded Complete_ANW_Library.exe. I ran it and it installed C:\Matrix Games\Harpoon 3 Advanced Naval Warfare\Databases\PlayersDB.

I started Larry Bond’s Harpoon 3, and clicked H3 configuration and found the database tab. I selected Players database December 3, 2008.

When I started Harpoon 3 it crashed, giving the message:
Annex version later than program version. Cannot continue.

When I choose another database, the game starts fine.

I have version 3.7.0.0 of Harpoon 3.

What can you tell me? Thanks

Howdy,

You should upgrade to ANW version 3.9.3. Sign up with the Matrix members' services and you can download the updates from the downloads under the Members' services section.

You are running only the basic 3.7.0 version of the game. The scenarios are built with the 3.9.3 version of the game. So, you will need to update with the latest patches. You can find them here:

There is no need to register. This is publicly available to anyone and everyone.

The patches I recommend are:
