ANW 3.9.3: Subs move after new course plotted

Post by Anonymous »

Hello,

just stumbled (in an MP game) over the following issue:

Set your sub´s speed to zero. Plot a new course. The sub will start moving without being ordered to do so by the human player. Tried it in several scens, using different databases under ANW 3.9.3. Always the same.

This is an annoying behaviour since the sub thus radios away its position without the human player´s permission to move an inch.

Doesn´t occur under 3.6.X. There the sub sits still and waits for new orders - as it should be.

IMO this behaviour should be fixed in 3.9.4.

Howdy Ralf,

I'll check out this issue and another of reacharging subs going to flank speed afterwards.

Thanks,

Problem

Post by hermanhum »

This problem has not been fixed in Patch 3.9.4

Sub accelerates to cruise speed when plotted
Sub immediately goes to 14kts (cruise speed) and not Creep Speed (5kts) or 0 kts when plotted path entered (Originally reported by JChiecchio)
1. Load [PDb] Sub accelerates to cruise speed when plotted (3.9.4).scn in GE
2. Sub starts at 0kts.
3. While on pause, Order sub to Cruise speed
4. Then Order sub to 0kt speed
5. Start game
6. Plot a path for the sub
7. Sub immediately goes to 14kts (cruise speed) and not Creep Speed (5kts) or 0 kts.
