Big Screen Baby!!

Hired Guns: The Jagged Edge is a turn-based strategy that puts you command of a squad of specialists for hire in the genre’s biggest game-world yet: the African country Diamond Coast. Diamond Coast is a playground for the cruel and corrupt, each with their own agenda. Choose your friends wisely and buy an army of ruthless mercenaries to unleash mayhem on your foes. Choose “jobs” from different factions and complete them for cash to upgrade your weapons and hire more elite soldiers of fortune.

Big Screen Baby!!

Post by Anthropoid »

So I'm running this game on a fairly souped up system (EVGA vid card, ~3MB of RAM, pretty dang fast CPU but forget how fast), and . . . get this . . . some of you guys are gonna hate me for this [:D] . . . a plasma BIG SCREEN TV!!

Looks like it must be 42" across the diagonol.

What resolutions and settings would be best for a screen that big?

Check the TVs manual. There should be resolutions listed in it if it's PC compatible like my Toshiba Regza. Depending on the type of TV it could be anything, I know mine is 1920x1080. Also what imput are you useing? That will tell alot as to what you can use. Or you can have your PC auto-detect, if that dosnt work. Good old trial and Error always works, I know this TV flashs "unsupported video signal" when I mess up.

PS welcome to the Big screen world.

That is a good idea Reinforce. Holy Cow a revelation! CHECK the _manual_ heh, heh, heh [:D]

Actually I will do that. I'm getting an image just fine, I was just thinking in terms of fine-tuning it to optimum.

Depending on your video card drivers there's a whole host of options to fine tune the image. There is also the TV settings themself, Without haveing it infront of me I cannot suggest much. I generaly leave my TV set to Sports becouse it gives a very sharp image. Then I just set my PCs output to 1080p and changed the colors till they matched what I felt they should. If your useing an Nvidia card like I am, You should have the Nvidia control panel. That will give you all the settings you'll need to fine tune.
