FOV (Field of View) - Changing camera angles

Post by Mraah »

Don't forget ... you can change your FOV and camera angles so you can get right up and snuggle with your favorite merc ...

Basically ... Stop all the WHINING about how you can't determine LOS .... [;)]

The screenshot below shows me using these settings in the SYSTEM.CFG file ;

r_hcamera_max_angle = "25.962800"
r_hcamera_max_height = "25.0000"
r_hcamera_min_angle = "-25.000000" DEFAULT 0.000000
r_hcamera_min_height = "-25.00000" DEFAULT 0.000000

r_hcamera_fov = "0.220000" DEFAULT 0.44

Play around with more setting to suit your taste .... I've been able to get "inside" the head of some mercs.

Hope this helps ... Thanks for listening!

Rob

I played around with this camra change abit but I found it to be very hard to control and sometimes I would get jammed looking straight down. So I swaped out the values and ended up with this.

r_hcamera_fov = "0.440000"
r_hcamera_inertion = "0"
r_hcamera_max_angle = "25.962800"
r_hcamera_max_height = "25.0000"
r_hcamera_min_angle = "0.000000"
r_hcamera_min_height = "-25.00000"

Works almost the same way but it's slightly more user friendly imo. However if you "touch" the ground sometimes you get stuck and have to use your mouse wheel to scroll out of it. But I have never had a problem with the camra getting jammed. I'd post a screen shot but it's basicly the same as whats been posted. So I'll save my photobucket space. :P
