Early in the game - Roadblock area.

Post by RinoaHeartily »

Hey guys

After that "initiation" part (northroad), the only area I can go to is the roadblock. At my northroad i didn't fake a passport and was therefore engaged in a battle at the roadblock. I cleared the area.

My question is, the place looks like a hotbed for many others to storm. Do you leave your mercs defending this area?

Also how can you tell if an area generates income or not? Like i took safari but i didn't get any income, so does northroad? How do you tell?

My question is, the place looks like a hotbed for many others to storm. Do you leave your mercs defending this area? I didn't, and it got attacked and recaptured by the dictator's forces. I don't see how we can defend all the territories with the paltry money situation... so I mostly use my mercs to defend the rail station and mines. It seems that even if you hold the road block sector, the enemy can go right through it and continue on to another sector.

Also how can you tell if an area generates income or not? Like i took safari but i didn't get any income, so does northroad? How do you tell? Basically, it's hard-coded into the game. Certain areas generate income, some don't. After you capture a sector, you can click on the magnifying glass icon on the strat map and in there it'll tell you what, if any, income the sector is generating. So far for me, the dam, rail station and mines are generating income...so that's what I used my mercs to defend.
