Animation Question (new player here)

Animation Question (new player here)

I just got the Comanders Edition and I was gouing through the game setting and it had setting for animation like enable launch animations, hitl animations, enable killed ship animations. Now are these the 2d little sprite animations I see or are these full pic screens that are seen. Just wondering.

The animations are the beloved (by the old timers) stick figure animations; not the prettier pictures.
