Mission Control Images from the Soviet space program

Post by Nacho84 »

Hello all,

I hope you're doing well. We need some images from Mission Control from the Soviet space program from the Vostok and Voskhod era. Do you happen to have any good references? If you do, please PM me :)

Cheers,

Wow, that is a tough one. I have been searching all night. The earliest I could find was from the Apollo/Soyuz mission. The Soviets had a lot of secrecy then.

Does this mean you are getting close to the point of upgrading the Mission Control screen like some of us have suggested (little pictures like TV monitors changing)?

Here is a link to a good resource on Russian Space exploration.

According to this article, the Soviet's first built a "Mission Control" for the ASTP in 1973.

Thanks for the link. I managed to get a few more by googling in russian. In any case, if you manage to find something else, feel free to PM me or post it here.

Wonderful! Looks fantastic! Thank you so much...I think this will add more excitement to the experience! [&o][&o]

As far as other pictures, even pictures of tracking dishes, recovery ships/helicopters or still shots of a rocket in flight would work I think :)

Can't wait :)
