A few problems

Post by Cao »

1. The blocking of incomming messages on the diplomacy screen- is this broken? It doesn't seem to work for me.

2. Sometimes when I try to send my ships to attack a world, they all seem to have a pressing need to upgrade first. If I override the return for upgrades option, then the ships will just sit dead in space and not do anything. It's quite frustrating to amass a huge fleet and order it to pounce on the enemy only to discover that they all turn around and go home to upgrade for some reason. [:@]

They need to upgrade because you need them
to have transport pods if attacking/capturing a world.

Even if have them if any don't all must wait till all have pods.

Likely one or more don't have pods..

Noise? What Noise? It's sooooo quiet and Peaceful!

No. Pods are only needed for capturing worlds. A fully upgraded ship without pods can attack a world.

Not in my play, attack a world or capture It has them holding while theres upgrades done..

Perhaps if it isn't Pods, theres some delay in there to hold up while every ship is ensured to be at 100 pct, if some are like a 98 or 99 pct then their being fixed.

It also may give opponent time to react to any spied out operaton..

Anyway it doesn't stop you its more like a "pause" while all ships are outfitted, fixed up, gathered, etc [:D]

Then they all head in to take on the opponent..

It really can be useful through to have Pods, both to take others ships plus you can if planets falling well to attk, always set a few ships to capture and already having pods those will take over the city and planet.

I have no problem with the AI wanting to upgrade. My problem is that when you turn off the AI then they will just sit dead in space and you can't get them to attack the world no matter what. Because of this, you absolutly have to have upgraded in order to attack a world, which I think is just silly, especially since by the time my fleets are usually finished upgrading, I have researched a new tech that means they have to upgrade again.

It's a flawed system. I shouldn't have to upgrade to attack. Strategy is often about timing and this system is just not very fun or realistic... Which is why I have uninstalled the game and I'm not very happy with Matrix games.

Please read the manual. A working knowledge of the mechanics will make like easier. There are alot of things you need to understand that are in the manual of you can learn from experienced users. If you dont have the patience I understand but please realize you actually need to read the manual on this game to get a good grasp of how it works. Its not a game that you can jump into and be good at by figuring out things as you go along.
