of the top of my head with not a lot of experience you could try a global edit of the hands of the DB's and maybe a lowering of the awareness of the QB.

I have the same problem when I coach or play. I see a INT about once every 2 or 3 games.

Yeah few Ints, but alot of fumbles. Sometimes up to 6 or 7 combined.

Hands skill affects fumbles.

Catching skill affects picks, as does play design to some extent.

Why should play design affect interceptions?

Well, bad play design definately can. I have dumped pass plays because they result in INTs too often.

In previous versions, I have increased the leagues hands for LBs and DBs with the hack editor and it worked on fixing this issue.

Hubbard asked:

Hack is playing 3D CPU vs CPU, so the plays matter.

Bad timing on offense can mess up a play, as can routes into the teeth of coverage.

Defenders don't tend to get picks if they are not in a postion to do so, so good schemes should get more picks.

I would say the thing to look for would be the number of knockdowns to picks. that should tell you whether it is a hands problme or not.

The Hands skill attribute does not affect catching the ball.

I would like it if it would, but it does not.

There are many skills that could affect it.

Speed (SPD) to keep up with a receiver.

Cover (COV) to stay with him.

Catch (CAT) to make the pick.

I am not quite sure how INT and DIS affect defensive play.

My bad, I meant I improved the catching skills for LBs and DBs.

Yes, I thought that is what you had done, and here is your post to prove it:
What I did to remedy this was to increase all of the DBs Catching by 5 using Database Editor mod. I now get around 2-2.5 INTs per game. You might also increase the LBs because they usually have very low catching #s.

As we can see, you were spot on.

The DBEditor comes in handy for this type of thing.

This also shows how flexible Maximum-Football is to move stats into the range that the game owner wants.

I used to raise the catching skill of DB's by 5 using JD's editor but I learned that 5 years down the road you might have issues with too many interception because the DB's catching skill are too well developed. Thats why now before I start playing I sim through the first 5 seasons of a league so that the players are well developed and I am not having issues with dramatic changes in gameplay down the road.
