Upgrades the PDS needs

Post by dreamtheatervt »

Mr. Winter, below is a short list of upgrades that are sorely needed for the game.

First, and absolutely the biggest need at this point:
Better in-game file management - i.e. the ability to create folders and move plays within the folders. I would like to create an "online" league for the community where players could submit their playbooks, but all those plays in one folder would just create havoc for me. Also, I'm starting to reach a point where I'm scrolling through a ton of plays to get to the one I am looking for. It would also make it much easier to move files between two computers.

Other minor ones:
Adjustable zones (you said you were working on this one, but I thought I'd bring it up again)

Allow no TE formations (I cannot set TE/SB to zero) and three TE formations. Seems like it would be a simple enough fix.

Pump fake for QB.

The ability to use [dropback] with the QB after a [move to] command. Basically, I just want to see my QB set up on play action passes.

Two more additions:

Adjustable punter/kicker depth - currently set at 8 yards for punter and 5 yds for placekicking which is too shallow (14 yds and 7 yds are standard)

Slightly slower long snap speed, maybe based off of the center's strength and speed attributes.

These two might lead to a more realistic punting game; as the longer, slower snap combined with giving the punter room to step into the punt would give the coverage team more time to get downfield, as well as giving the defense a better chance of blocking a punt if a punt block is put on.

I thought this was just an issue of the formation that was used for creating the kicking plays in the default playbooks. Someone (sorry, I don't remember who) posted modified plays/formations where the punter and field goal kicker are farther back (8 yards, if I remember correctly), and I'm using them in my game.

I think you should also add the ability to onside kick.  Even though they can't be called out in the Playbook profiles yet.

My wishlist

1. Option

2. Onside Kick

3. Playbooks only for offense or defense

4. File Management
