OL 3-Point vs. 4-Point Stance

Post by Charlie19341 »

In looking through the PDS, I think I saw that you could place an OL in either a 3-point, or 4-point stance. If I am wrong, then sorry for the posting, as I have yet to get into the finer points of the PDS.

If I am correct, does the OL 3-point stance, versus the 4-point stance have any affect on pass-blocking or run blocking, or is this just graphic aesthetics for the screen, and at the preference of the play designer?

Linemen stance can't be set.  It would be nice to set the stance on both offensive and defensive line stances to 3-Point, 4-point, or pass set, but it would be for looks anyway.  It isn't on the top of the "things to do" list I would suspect.

By the way, the stance will save only with the play, at this time, and not the formation.
