Need help with late game situations

Post by garysorrell »

Im wondering if any of you with good playbooks have your teams doing the following:

A: When a team is trailing in the 4th, with little time remaining, going for it on 4th.

B: When a team is ahead late in the 4th, are they running a LOT to run down the clock.

I seem to have A taken care of. I watched a test game and the trailing team went for it on 4th twice.

But it's B I am having trouble with. My team thats ahead is passing like its 2nd quarter.
It could be that my situations concerning B are conflicting with something else.
I was just mainly curious if any of you have set up situations similar to B above and are having success.

There isn't a "situation" option? I know there's D&D...

For those of you good with plays, Can I import a certain play from one playbook to another? I was hoping to import situation plays....kneel down and rushing plays to wind the clock down. I am also having a large number of sacks. It seem that there is no happy medium with this. I have been tinkering with the constraint file. I bump up the pass blocking and time factor, and the QB throws for 600 yds. When I reduce it the lineman are not fast enough to prevent a blitzing LB. I have also seen a LB come in untouched when the FB was still in the backfield. I also want to know why defense does not call time outs and only offense does.  This is cpu vs cpu...Thanks

I have seen defense call them, rarely though. Watching a game last night, the team that was behind called a timeout late in the 4th while the other team had the ball.

In the WWFL I am running, it's week 5 and there is 1 sack all season. I move my QBs around a lot. I always have a blocker or 2 assigned.

Im not sure what you mean by 'import from one playbook to another'? If the play is in the plays folder, you can just add it to the playbook and check the situation only box.
