Noob question: How to buikld a playbook

Post by MPHopcroft1 »

This sounds like a noob question, but how do you actually build a playbook from playes downloaded from other sources -- especially since you really can't tell what the play is when you look at the the file? If a set of plays has been put together into an .rar for downlaod, how do you compile it into an importable playbook or make the plays themselves importable?

I can't find that anywhere in the docs, and it poses a problem when you're running 11-man teams or even 8-man indoor teams.

(BY the way, has anyone ever run 8-man leagues in OUTDOOR enviroonments? what sort of game would result? IN many parts of the rural US, 8-man football is played commonly by small schools who don't have enough athletes to field a full squad).

There is a punt play and punt return play on FBMAX for 8man if you want it for playing outdoors. Just drop them in your plays folder and import them to any 8 man playbook you want to have punting in.
The return play and return coverage are a bit hinky, but they work fine. Hinky because of my play design, not Max :-)
There is no need to edit anything, just import the plays into a playbook and the game uses them properly.
