As far as defense, there are commands you can give defensive players that cause them to line up on certain offensive players, based on position or even a rating. I think in M2M you can have a player look for the Speed WR and so on. Im not as clear on defense, havent made that many plays on that side of the ball.

On offense, the formation can be adjusted from its base, during play creation. The base formation may be an I formation, but you can move players around and basically create a new formation. You can have motion like crazy, if your league rules are set to 'unlimited motion'.

mvb34: Does the play creator allow for formation shifts on offensive

By formation shifts, I assume you mean presnap shifts by multiple players that must set one second before the snap, as defined separately from motion. At this time, shifts are not in the game as part of the play creation process.

They can be done by setting motion to unlimited, but that is usually not the setting for American rules leagues.

They can also be done by having another formation set as one of the audibles. The players will then move to the new formation.
Can apply presnap defense movement

The defense can be set to lineup on players or shadow players, but there is no presnap motion that can be set on defense. One cannot have the free safety creep up to the line prior to the snap.

Defensive presnap motion is something that I have mentioned on my wishlist, and David is considering it for the list of features for a future release down the road.

There is defensive line shifting movement in Arcade Mode.

I hope you consider picking up the game.

Thank you for your post.

There is defensive line shifting movement in Arcade Mode.

And coach mode. They use the same button/key commands.

thanks
